To authenticate with the Centaur API, you need three things:

An account on the Centaur Portal
An API key
An API password

Once you have a portal account, follow these steps to generate your API credentials:

Create API Key

As a customer, you can generate an API Key using the Portal:

Log in to the Portal and click on Organization Settings in the bottom left corner.
Click API Integration.
Click Generate API Key, enter a recognizable name for your API Key and click Create.
Copy your API Key and store it somewhere safe. It will not be displayed again.

Create API Password

Log in to the Portal and click on Organization Settings in the bottom left corner.
Click API Integration.
Click Generate New Password, then click Create.
Copy your API Password and store it somewhere safe. It will not be displayed again.

Note: One API Password per Account
There’s only one API Password associated with each customer account. If you had a previous API Password, creating a new one will invalidate the previous password and any integration using the old password may fail to authenticate.
