API credentials

To authenticate with the Centaur API, you need three things:

1. An account on the Centaur Portal
2. An API key
3. An API password

Once you have a portal account, follow these steps to generate your API credentials:

Create API Key

As a customer, you can generate an API Key using the Portal:

• Log in to the Portal and click on Organization Settings in the bottom left corner.
• Click API Integration.
• Click Generate API Key, enter a recognizable name for your API Key and click Create.
• Copy your API Key and store it somewhere safe. It will not be displayed again.

Create API Password

• Log in to the Portal and click on Organization Settings in the bottom left corner.
• Click API Integration.
• Click Generate New Password, then click Create.
• Copy your API Password and store it somewhere safe. It will not be displayed again.

Note: One API Password per Account

There’s only one API Password associated with each customer account. If you had a previous API Password, creating a new one will invalidate the previous password and any integration using the old password may fail to authenticate.
